ABOUT ME

Khalida Himes, founder of ERB Consulting, LLC, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who also holds a Professional Educator License. Khalida graduated from Fordham University in New York City with her Master’s Degree in Social Work, and also obtained a Bachelor's in Social Work from Grambling State University.  Khalida works full time at a High School as a school social worker and racial equity leader, and also works part time in a practice providing individual, family, and couples counseling. Khalida has a very diverse background and has served in various social work positions throughout her career including schools, residential treatment facilities, foster care, and providing individual, group, and family counseling in outpatient mental health treatment.  Khalida specializes in trauma informed treatment and is an EMDR certified therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Other treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Mood Disorders, Trauma and Stress Related Disorders. Khalida also worked for many years with adolescents on probation with a history of domestic violence and substance abuse issues.
